Two PhD positions are available on an EPSRC (UK) funded study on New Methods
for Assessing the Control of Blood Flow in the Brain, involving a collaboration
between the University of Southampton, University of Leicester, Southampton General
Hospital, and University of East Anglia. Candidates should have a good honours
degree in Engineering, Physics or a related science subject. An MSc in Biomedical
Engineering or Medical Physics, although not essential, is highly desirable. The two
PhD students will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of investigators carrying out the
development of new physiological measurement techniques for the assessment of
cerebral blood flow autoregulation and data analysis involving mathematical modelling
and digital signal processing.
For further information please contact Dr. David Simpson (ds@isvr.soton.ac.uk) or
Professor RB Panerai (rp9@le.ac.uk).
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: 31st August 2008
