Title: Technical Support Product Expert

Main Purpose of the Role and Key Responsibilities:
Executes technical tasks requiring specialist skills in own professional area. Works independently with the responsibility for solving customer request cases and reporting according to processes.
Identifies and solves technical problems. Shares knowledge in own professional area and towards GCC and CT by delivering input to the common knowledge database.
Support areas (local/regional support centers) by participating in emergency and 24/7 duty.
Provisioning of trouble shooting manuals.
Prioritizes work based on customer impact, and brings expertise to customer site on need basis.
Proactively influences to avoid upcoming problems (preventive work).
Writing of Customer Acceptance Test Manual and participating at Customer Demonstrations/Trials/ Acceptances sessions via providing high level expertise support.
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering (Telecommunications, Electronics, Physics or similar).
Base skills:
Good Knowledge of
- Telecommunication Technologies (SDH, OTN, DWDM, Ethernet, IP);
- management Protocols (SNMP, Q3, Corba)
- telecom standards
Other skills:
- experienced in Optical Component or Network testing
- Experiences in programming (mainly scripting),
- Operating Systems: Windows and Solaris well know
- Tools: ICTS, VITAC and MR well known
Language:
- English language fluent in and spoken and written mandatory.
- basic knowledge in German or Finish language desired
At least two years expertise in similar activities in development, system verification or technical support

- Flexible on working time to adjust to customers needs
- Able to work as team and to cooperate with other partners
