www.yesmeeting.orgSão três dias de apresentações científicas sobre grandes temas da Medicina, a que se juntam várias actividades lúdicas para explorar a cidade do Porto, e tu estás convidado.
À semelhança dos anos anteriores, a equipa de organização do YES Meeting já pôs mãos à obra e a organização da terceira edição do YES já está em marcha.
Este ano, o evento tem data marcada para os dias 26, 27 e 28 de Setembro e os temas fortes são Doenças Neurodegenerativas, Oncobiologia, Insuficiência Cardíaca e Medicina Regenerativa.
Podes participar de duas formas:
- Ou te inscreves como "Presenting Student" e pões à prova um trabalho científico desenvolvido por ti na área das Neurociências, Oncologia ou Biologia Molecular (no total, os prémios ascendem a 8 mil euros);
- Ou te inscreves como "Non-presenting Student" e podes assistir e participar em vários simpósios, plenários e workshops, tendo a oportunidade de discutir casos clínicos e as mais recentes informações médicas com alguns dos nomes mais célebres da Medicina.

Apresentação:We are pleased to invite you to the III YES MEETING that will take place from the 26th to the 28th of September, 2008, in Porto Medical School, Portugal. We expect to bring to Porto undergraduate researchers, students of Medicine, Nursing,
Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, among others, and distinguished speakers in biomedical areas. Our main goal is to join scientists and physicians from all over the world, therefore creating a network place where knowledge and experiences can be shared!
This project had its first edition in 2006 with the presence of more than 300 students of more than 20 nationalities!
In 2007 we repeated the experience of having participants from the 5 Continents of the world and once more, we are encouraging students and young scientists to attend this relevant scientific meeting.
This year, 2008, the III YES Meeting scientific programme will cover different areas, on which we will have student presentations (oral communication or poster section) complemented with debates and round tables on topics of basic and clinical interest by worldwide authorities on the respective issues.
But that’s not all! We are already organising a gorgeous social programme in order to stimulate students’ partnership and to show you part of this “seaside planted garden of Europe” (as the poet Tomás Ribeiro said).
We reassure that the best of our efforts will make this event a scientific highlight and a memorable visit to Porto.
